You heard me talk a lot about Fab Fempreneur Fest this year. In fact, I shared about my experience from the inaugural event in 2018 here and here.
Well, the event finally happened and it was a huge success on so many levels.
I’m grateful to be a part of this business conference-meets-retreat experience as it empowers and connects women in a positive, genuine, and impactful way.
I enjoyed serving my fellow women entrepreneurs while doing what I love and supporting them in their journey. We all have a part to play, and I know I played mine out to the best of my ability. And I saw every other woman speaking, sponsoring, volunteering and attending to the same. The energy was fire, contagious, loving!

For me, this was the first time that I had the opportunity to both manage and speak at the same event. It was a challenge that I accepted and feel that I conquered.
It was humbling to share a little about my journey and philosophy as an entrepreneur while also teaching others that they have what it takes to plan events that will not only help grow their business but also their community. Events make me excited, and I wanted to spread that excitement to those who attended my session.
It was so satisfying to see the new ideas my fellow fempreneurs were coming up with and the potential collaborations that were beginning to brew right as I was speaking.
I’m grateful for Sara Clark Williams, my coach, and client, who provided me the opportunity to be a part of this awesome event. It’s because of her that this community of Fab Fempreneurs exists. She is brave, bold and beautiful inside and out.
Having her as a coach has stretched me in ways I didn’t know I could be stretched. She not only shared her story, but also the journey of some of her clients, including me, which was awesome because it gave me a chance to indirectly share my story, plus have a shameless plug for my business.

Can you see the pattern here? I’m talking about people. The connections I’ve made from this being a part of this event. This is my entire philosophy of adding value to others coming full circle and further encouraging the process of connecting, collaborating, and celebrating with people who are aligned with your vision!
Boom…it keeps going back to that vision we have for our lives and our business.
I can’t say enough great things about this event or the people involved. All of the non-selfie images you see in this recap were taken by Marcy Browe Photography. Marcy is a very talented brand photographer. She’s a delight to be around and is a genuinely sweet human being. She offered to write me a testimonial after working with me for this one event, and I totally took her up on that offer.
Marcy reminded me that when we work with our whole hearts and have a positive attitude your work shines all on its own. Her passion for photography and serving others by helping them be seen is incredibly inspiring.
Having a great team is always crucial when managing the day of an event. My team was helpful and on point in helping execute a successful and memorable event. I can humbly say that running an event is not a one-woman show. You need a team of willing and capable people to help pull off the details big and small. I’m glad I had a dedicated team of women who knew just what to do.
As expected, the service at Westin Carlsbad Resort was exceptional, and the location was a dream, besides the fact that the rain decided to show up, it’s all good. We had back up plans. That’s how we do!
Some other fun things that happened. I put together a step and repeat wall, up and ran audio-visual for the first time ever, and I have to say…putting the step and repeat wall together was way harder than running a switchboard! It turned out really nice though!
In addition, we also ran out of name badge holders, but we improvised and asked our neighbors if they’d sell us a few of theirs. It was very kind of them to just give us a handful. The organizer said she was paying it forward because she’d once been in our shoes before. Good people are still out there!
Fab Fempreneur Fest was amazing! I can’t wait to start planning for next year! PS: You can get your tickets for Fab Fempreneur Fest 2020 here.
